  • Have at least 3 years of experience managing a qualifying business or eligible investments.
  • Have a successful track record in business or investment activities.
  • Score at least 65 points on the Business Innovation and Investment Points Test.
  • Be under 55 years of age (age exemptions may apply).
  • Meet health and character requirements.

Applicants must invest AUD 2.5 million in complying investments, which are structured as follows:

  • At least AUD 500,000 in venture capital funds or private equity funds that invest in start-ups and small private companies.
  • At least AUD 750,000 in managed funds that invest in emerging companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
  • A maximum of AUD 1.25 million in managed funds that may invest in balanced investments such as bonds, property, and equities.

The investment must be maintained for the duration of the visa.
