Types Of 400 Temporary Work Visas

You can apply for two types of 400 Temporary Work Visas.

Highly Specialised Work Stream

This visa is for individuals with highly specialised skills that are not readily available in the Australian labor market. It allows applicants to contribute their expertise to an Australian business. This short-term visa typically permits a stay of up to 6 months. Extensions may be granted if the Department of Home Affairs is convinced of the applicant's unique skills, a local skills shortage, or existing contractual obligations.

Australia’s Interest stream

This stream is for applicants who enter for Australia’s best interests, such as firefighters helping with bushfire control or other disaster relief; applicants who have the support of a foreign government; or those who can significantly contribute to Australia’s business, economic or cultural development.
